Tasting Molasses

We went to Dave and Robyn’s house in Mackay.  Me and Cobin played a lot.  On one day we went to the sugar cane farm.  We went on a tour.  We talked about stuff, I don’t want to tell you what we talked about because it would take too long. We went to a Sugarcane Mill and it was fun. I ate dirt off the machine and it tasted yum. After that we tried some black stuff and it tasted yum. It was very smelly in there. I also got to eat sugar as soon as it was made. We got to see a train with all the sugarcane on it. There was samples but I didn’t have all of the samples. I learnt that we send alot of sugar to Japan and we help them. The sugar cane goes through lots of machines and cages to get made into sugar. It starts by the sugarcane getting tipped out of a big cage onto a big machine then it goes all the way round. I asked lots of questions.

We watched Dave play footy.  They came last by a lot.  They were versing the Saints.  I did little aths.  It was so fun.  I did the walk for my first time.  It was cool, it was hard and I came second last.  We got a yummy icy cup, you could get coke, raspberry, orange and lime. The icy cup was nice because it was a hot day.

We went to see the movie Red Dog.  It was really sad.  There is a really famous dog, he died and we cried a lot.  I didn’t like it. 

We went to the Blue Lagoon it’s a really fun playground. It’s like Wet and Wild but not really big rides. It’s like the playground at Wet and Wild.  Robyn, Dave, Cobin, Jordyn and Mac went with us the second time.  We went down some small slides.  There was a big bucket and it tipped on us.  There was nothing better at Mackay than the pool.  Nothing beat it.
