Tazzie Talk 6

Tazzie Talk
Another week in beautiful Queensland and this week we spent the whole week in Mackay. It was a really nice place and it was really warm this week we went from the hot and stuffy sugar cane farm to the beautiful blue lagoon. Here let me tell you about this week’s adventures.
Sugar cane farm
“Today were going to the sugar cane farm” Mum said “Oh you have to wear long pants and a long sleaved T-shirt” We all groaned. I’m in beautiful Queensland and I’m going to be stuck in a sugar cane farm for 2 hours in a long sleaved T and long pants.
When we arrived we got out of the car and started to walk to a big house looking thing. As we entered we were welcomed by a nice lady we paid and then we watched a movie. After the movie we could ask questions and then we walked into the factory.
IT STANK, I was blocking my nose and could still smell it. When we were in the factory we were boiling hot and I started to feel sick. It was not all that bad though I learnt some things. Do you know that 40% of Japans sugar is from Australia? When we got pretty much to the end a man came out with a mount of sugar. He started to hand it around and I was the first to test some. It was still warm and it was really really nice. When we had finished our trip I got a really nice tea and then we got back in the car and drove off.
Blue Lagoon
When we arrived at the blue water lagoon a big smile stretched along my face as I saw the water playground and the other pools. WE entered the lagoon and we put all our stuff down and we all ran to the first pool as the water hit my legs it was cold but it was better than the humid weather we had put up with for half of the day. I ran until it was deep enough for me to dive and then the refreshing water hit my face and it felt really nice. I popped my head up to see all the other kids at the water’s edge saying “It’s too cold, it’s too cold” I laugh and said that they were a bunch of sooks and after that comment they were all in the water.
It didn’t last long because we saw the big bucket from the playground tip and then we swam as fast as we could the get to the playground before the bucket tipped again. We got their in time and when the bucket tipped we were all shocked as the water was warmer than expected. After that we raced off to the slides the first two we went on were very little and a bit lame. The second time round we found a bigger funnier slide. It was still little but lodes bigger than the other 2 and it had a turn. WE went down this slide in all different ways. Backwards, forwards, to the slide, sitting up standing up even in prayer. It was a really good day!!!
The second time we went was not much different apart from I was jumping off a water feature doing belly whackers and bumped my head really badly. Mum still doesn’t know how I didn’t split my head open or knock myself out. I did end up with a graze o my head and the biggest bump I’ve ever seen.
Red Dog
Red Dog made me cry soooooooooo much. It was a really good movie but half the time I was crying because it was beautiful and but really sad. I thought the movie was really good though and it thinks that it is worth seeing but make sure you bring a box of tissues. We are now going to Dunbier in WA were Red Dog was loved for by the community and were his statue stands.
Other things I liked in MacKay were.........
I would like to Thank Robin, Dave, Coben, Jordan and Mac for letting us stay at their place and I liked their animals Speckles the bird, Chick, Apollo the dogs, Lucy too who started off on the wrong leg with as she bit me but after that we ended up being good friends.(She was also a dog) and I especially loved Disco their cat who had the cutest meow, he was the biggest cat I have ever seen and I could have sworn he was a baby leopard. I also liked the rock pop mime which is a dancing contest with the schools. Jordan you are a shuffling star!
That ends my blog talk to you soon Taz.
